  • My 4 year old gelding has grass staggers can anyone help with advise on how to treat him.  Is there any way of preventing this from happening again !

  • For anyone looking at this in the future there is no cure for staggers as such when you notice that your horse is exhibiting symptoms the first thing you should do is remove your horse from grass put them in a yard or stable etc. Feed hay and give them a toxin binder a great product avaliable if you have a horse that has symptoms of staggers in previous years is stagger nuts available from any farmlands, rd1, wrightson and most saddelrys it limits the chances of a repeat episode as severe
