The J Swap Contractors Matamata Breeders Stakes for 2 year old fillies was taken out by ANABANDANA in fine style on Saturday.

The filly by ANABAA - GREAT NOTICE settled 5th on the rail and was hooked out off the heels of the leaders on the home turn, she had no where to go for a time but the gaps came and she took them stylishly, once in the clear she ran away to win with ease by 1 3/4 lengths, BEEJAY BELLE continued her solid form to run second, QUEEN BOUDICCA was a length away in third.

Trainer Don Sellwood, " Lovely win, she's a good filly, very good filly. If she pulls up good after today I'd like to think we could go to Auckland for the Diamond, she has won Listed, G.3, G.2, it would be good to get a Group 1.

Jockey Opie Bosson, " She's got an electric turn of foot, she just relaxes so well and does whatever you ask, I was quite impressed with her. I just had to make a bit of space and hope for a bit of luck, the gaps came and she was good enough to go through them. She probably could have been unbeaten to date but she's been unlucky a few times, she just showed today how good she is and won easily."
