Group 3 for MIDNIGHT OIL

    • MIDNIGHT OIL took out the Group 3 Livamol Lowland Stakes for the 3 year old fillies on Saturday at Hastings.

    By KEEPER - GILDED LIGHT she settled in second position for the journey, challenged the leader I GOTA FEELING turning for home and went to the line in pouring rain to win well by 2 lengths. KIWI LADY was second with I GOTA FEELING who fought on well to be a nose away in third after leading them up.

    The $1.60 favorite KING'S ROSE finished her race off well for fourth after racing back in the field for most of the trip.

    MIDNIGHT OIL is trained by Paul Duncan and was ridden by Rosie Myers, this gave the combination back to back wins after also taking out the previous race. Rosie had a great day riding a treble in the 5th, 6th and 7th races, overall she rode 4 winners and had 2 second placings.
