HOLD IT HARVEY ran away with the Group 2 Lawnmaster Awapuni Gold Cup on Saturday.

He settled in 6th position on the fence and made his run switching off heels at the the 600 meter mark to go around the field and finishing down the center of the track to bolt away and win by 3 3/4 lengths, DAWN GOST came from last at the 1000 meter mark to circle the field in a game effort to run second with CAN'T KEEPER DOWN fighting well to be a 1/2 length away in third.

HOLD IT HARVEY is a 6 year old gelding by KING CUGAT - DALY CHARM, he is trained by Terri Rae and was ridden by Jamie Bullard. He ran the 2000 meters in 2.01.72

Jamie Bullard," I was a bit worried going out of the straight here in tight quarters, he travelled nice all the way after we got a bit of a check, came to the outside of them and ran away with it. I thought they were coming at me, thought I could here horses but i didn't know were they were in the vicinity so I got into him and he won easy. I'm pleased for the horse to get over 2000 meters, I've though he's needed 2000 for a while now and he's proved he likes it. Terri (Rae) and I go a wee way back now and we have had a lot of success."
