JIMMY CHOUX wins G3 Guineas

    • The fixed odd favourite JIMMY CHOUX proved once again why his is top of the bill winning the G3 Waikato Guineas at Te Rapa on Saturday.

    The 3YO has now won eight of his 15 starts including the the G1 NZ 2000 Guineas, G2 Hawkes Bay Guineas and G2 Great Northern Guineas.

    JIMMY CHOUX handled his first go at 2000m easily, sprinting quickly and going clear to score by two and a quarter lengths over YIN YANG MASTER.

    This was JIMMY CHOUX first race beyond 1600m which bought about questions of his suitability for the NZ Derby. The G3 Guineas was an indicator that he will get the Derby distance.
