The Listed STARCRAFT at Arrowfield MR TIZ Trophy was taken out by MAGIC BRIAR at Ellerslie on Saturday.

Sent out favorite she was trapped out 3 wide in the early rush for positions, spotting the leaders five lengths turning for home she was hooked out wide to make her run, hitting the lead at the 100 meters she ran away to win well by a length, SWEET SUITOR was second and HAMMER DOWN was a good run to hold on for third a short neck away after being wide throughout. They ran the 1200m in 1.08.66

The 3 year old filly by THORN PARK - ALBERTON MAGIC is trained by Ken and Bev Kelso and was ridden by Opie Bosson.

Ken Kelso." Never had any reason to believe she wasn't up to Group 1 company Steve, she ran second to KINGS ROSE and then got put back, we don't want to go back down that track we've been there before, I certainly don't think she should have but thats history. I have had in the back of my mind to go to the Te Aroha Thoroughbred Breeders, I'm sure she will get a mile and Te Aroha might suit her because she can race on the pace and you have to do that at Te Aroha."

Opie Bosson," We had a little bit of a tough run, we were caught 3 wide, when I pushed the button for her to go she really responded well. She's nice and relaxed, she doesn't over do things and the way she switched off today a mile will be ideal."
