MILO wins Western Pacific Insurance Guineas

    • The front runner for the Triple Crown's Listed $45,000 ILT Ascot Park Hotel Guineas (1600m) on February 19. 3YO galloper MILO took out the Western Pacific Insurance Guineas on Saturday effortlessly.

    MILO seemed as though he was settling into second, then went to the front prior to the straight, described by race-caller Mark McNamara as a 'giant' he bounded past his rival to score by three lengths and a length from stablemates CONSCIOUS MISTAKE and MISS MAXIMUS.

    Unraced as of just six week ago, MILO has now won the first two heats of the triple crown, he will contest the third race on Feb 19th which now looks to be well within his reach. He may then head for a trip across the Tasman.
