  • MISS RAGGEDY ANNE took out the G.1 Railway Stakes at Ellerslie on New Years Day.

Trained by Andrew Scott and ridden by Tasha Collett the 5 yearold mare by FALTAAT settled back in the field, she was drawn out wide on the home turn to unwind brilliantly in the straight and hold out ATAPI who was second by a nose with a further long head back to TIP THE WINK in a tight finish.

The 87 to 1 shot was bred by Des and Jan Hawkins. It was a first for several reasons. The first Group 1 winner for Andrew Scott in New Zealand as a trainer on his own account. It was Tasha Colletts first Group 1 success as a jockey, also the first horse Tasha has ridden for Andrew Scott this season.
