SHUKA takes the G.2 Wakefield South

SHUKA took out the Group 2 Westbury Stud Wakefield Stakes for the 2 year olds at Trentham on Saturday.

Trained by Peter and Dawn Williams and ridden by Oppie Bosson the 2 year old gelding by BACHELOR DULE did not get the best of starts with some bumping early which saw him over race a bit. He got down and fought resolutely in the straight going to the line well and taking out the event by three quarters of a length.

THE GREAT SNOWMAN looked to be a threat and fought on well for second. ORUTAN was also close up and only a neck away in third.
